ENGLISH MEGAPATCH

The English MegaPatch is nearing completion (only a few more kits to go, and any transfers that happen between now and Friday morning), and this is basically a thread for credits and to tell you where you can download it.

Complete Version: All the data, badges, kits, flags & player pictures (huge file size).
"Lite" version: Just the data, flags and kits will be included in this version (kits are neccecary because the 3D game will carsh otherwise), badges & player pictures can be downloaded seperately.

Over the last two months a number of people have contributed to the patch, making data, kits, badges & flags, getting player pictures, finding information etc. Below is a list of everyone that was involved in the creating of the patch (if I've missed you out, reply and I'll add you ).

One of the main features of the patch is the kits that a number of people have been creating over the past few months. Every team (hopefully) will have a full home & away kit for the new season, plus flags for the crowd to wave. Currently there are about twenty teams without kits (most are in the conference), however we are working to ensure that every team will have a complete set of kits & flags by Friday morning.

The database is now at 99% completion - only a few transfers remain to be included. Squads will be accurate as of August the first from team websites, and any transfers after that will be added. Unfortunately I cannot guarentee that the data will be 100% accurate because I have to rely on club websites for the most part, and a number of these don't have date of birth's, positions or pictures, which means that we have had to estimate or make up some of these.

Badges were completed months ago, however they were not initially meant to be part of any patch. LaCerice did most of the work by finding the badges, Metalsiren reworked a number of them, and I just made them transparent. A few new badges (Cardiff, Wilmbledon & Wigan) have been added recently.

These make up the bluk of the patch's size, however they're (IMO) a great addition to the game. Unfortunately not all players will have player pictures (youth players in particular), however they will feature the club's crest instead, so that you can either import pictures over them when they become availible (which means you don't have to restart your game), or I may release a player pictures patch in the near future.

Fixtures

These actually took quite a long time to add to the patch, I had to reorganize the league structure first, then do the matchdays and then the fixtures themselves, which took the best part of three night to complete . All fixtures are accurate for the 2003-04 season, however due to the game being based in 2002-03, the matchdays have been moved to the equivilant day of that season (i.e. matches on August 9th will be played on the 10th). However if you play into the 2003-04 season on the game, these matchdays will be the same as they are in real life.

Basically just making sure player pictures work correctly, testing kits for any errors, and just making sure that the game runs OK.

The patch will also include all licenced referee's for the Premiership and Nationwide Leagues, along with hundreds of first names & surnames that will be given to the generic youth players. Flame did most of the work on the names, while I added the referee's.

Anyone that helped with the patch in any other way are here... He provided links & information about Conference teams, and also pointed out a few errors with the badges.

That's pretty much everyone who has contributed to it, and I'd like to thank all of them for the work they've put in to it, because otherwise I would still be working on this by the time TCM2004 comes out . Again, if I've missed you out, then I apologize, and I'll add you to the list ASAP.
