Fitness Training Guide
There are two options to control the fitness of your team.

Training with Assistant
If you do not want to care for the training of your team yourself, you should give your assistant a specific training objective. First select this option on the training screen ("Define Training Objectives"). Then simply set the short-term and long-term values of the fitness to the level you would like to reach. Select "Activate Training Objectives of Assistant Manager". The assistant will then work out an appropriate training plan.

Training without Assistant
If you want to get the best training results possible, you should care for the training yourself and switch off the assistant.

Long-Term Training
The easiest way to create a training plan is to go to the long-term training screen. You should do this in the first week of a season.

It is very important that you let your players work really hard in the pre-season. Simply select some fitness weeks for the first 4-5 weeks. During the season it is really hard to train in such a way, because the fatigue level of your players will increase rapidly when they train hard and have to play matches. Therefore it is really important that you try to reach the highest possible fitness value before the season starts.

A pre-season training plan could look like this:

  • Fitness (average)
  • Fitness (heavy)
  • Fitness (average)
  • Fitness (average)
  • Passing
  • Set pieces

Players with a fatigue level higher than 60 will be losing fitness again. After a match some regeneration training (or simply a short break) helps to decrease the fatigue level of your team. Short-Term Training
If you like to create really sophisticated training plans, the weekly training schedule will be your place. The following table gives you detailed information about the effects of the different training sessions.

Hint: You will be able to create a harder training schedule, if you rotate your players often. Simply give your star players regular breaks in matches you think you will win anyway.

    Group Training
If you want to increase the fitness level of selected players (e.g. after injuries) you should consider the group training option. Group training allows very quick improvements, especially when the players train in small groups ("Keep an Eye on" increases the effect).

A very simple way of group training are special training sessions for players who haven't played in the last match. Simply use sprints or jogging sessions to support the fitness of these players. You can set a special rule for the selection of these players on the main training screen ("Special Training for").

To create a special training session simply click on the training session in you training calendar until an "S" appears.

    Training Camps
If you have enough money, a well chosen training camp (maybe for 2 weeks?) can support the pre-season training of your team very well.

The different training camps have different effects on the fitness of your players. If you want to increase the fitness of your team, you should select one with a high fitness level.

Are you a training expert or do have still problems?
Because it is possible to save yearly training schedules, you can share your best training results with others. Simply get in touch with one of the fan sites to make them available to the public!

Hint: There is not a single "world-beater" training schedule. A team playing in the European Cup competition with a lot of additional matches needs a different schedule than a team who just plays league matches.
